I have been going through my photos from the last few years trying out different editing techniques. I have selected some of my favorite photos and am posting them here for feedback.

Ready or not here I come.....

The joys of being a kid. Here are some photos I took of my kids playing. This first one is of Cami hiding behind a tree while playing hide and go seek.

My kids love to swing. It has taken me a lot of pictures to finally find a few a liked. I love this picture of Cami sitting back and enjoying the ride and the sun.

I love the shear joy in this picture. I really cranked of the shutter speed so I didn't get any blurring.

My kids love the spray scape and I love to take pictures of them enjoying it. Again, cranking up the shutter speed allowed me to capture the water in mid air. I think it is a nice effect.

Change

I thought this was interesting. I posted the first photo a little while back.

I took the second picture several weeks later. I didn't intend to make them a time lapse like photo, but it ended up that way. I think it is cool to see how the tree has changed over time.

House of the Lord

Here are some different photos I took of the St. George Temple.

There is an old tree that I used to frame the temple.

I thought this was an interesting photo of two different "Houses" in the same photo.

I thought this was a great picture of the temple with the flag blowing in the wind. Unfortunately I didn't get the horizon as level as I should have.

Spring Flowers

It is always a wonderful time of the year when spring flowers arrive. Living in the desert, Spring seems to come much sooner than one would expect.

I remember going on drives with my family growing up just to see the Texas wild flowers. Absolutely amazing.

Below are some flower pictures I took while on a walk with my family.

By far one of my favorite flower photos. Very colorful tulips. Cami and Taryn really liked them. I took this photo on my knees. You can't tell, but the road is in the background. Love my new camera and its ability to change the depth of field. Allows for some great shots even if the background isn't very exciting.

I thought this turned out nice. Pansies are beautiful, but they aren't my favorite.

Looks like I am not the only one that likes flowers. There were lots of bumble bees around this tree. I took about 15 photos. Funny enough, the first one I took was the best as far as the placement of the bees is concerned.

To take this photo, I cranked up the ISO to 800 and opened up the aperture. This allowed me to get a much faster shutter speed. Still wasn't quite fast enough to truly freeze their wings, but close.

Smiles and Circles

We were on a family trip to the park the other day and I took a couple of pictures of Taryn playing on the playground. I noticed that I had a couple of different shots, so I talked her into giving me some different poses.

These were the results.

I ended up putting my favorite four together in to a collage. I think it turned out really cute and it totally sumarizes her personality.

Last Grasp of Winter

I took this picture on a walk around the temple. Shows the last remnants of the previous year before the tree begins a new cycle of life. I just really like the randomness of this picture combined with the beauty of the white building and window behind it.
